Paper Abstract:      The current distributed applications are mainly based on the client – server model and its variants. The growing of the Internet and the development of the information and communication technologies (ICT) has yielded more needs in terms of performance, efficiency, reliability and security of the exchanged information. Most applications such as the ecommerce require reliability, confidentiality and security of the transactions. By its synchronous nature, the client – server model seems not being anymore able to answer to these new demands. Several approaches have been proposed to deal with these new demands, for example the mobility of the code. This latter involved the emergence of the mobile agents paradigm, which is certainly very promising despite the fact that it arises a problem of reliability and security. In this paper, we present the seller – buyer model, a new model of interaction that extends the client - server model towards the mobile agents. This model would improve the mobile agents paradigm in order to build efficient and safe distributed applications on the Internet.
